Waipū Thunder Domes no.1 offgrid eco glamping dome

Off grid experience Positive: The dome was an experience for us. Spacious and clean. Driveway up was an experience but well worth it for the views. We didnt see of hear anyone while there Negative: Having to go outside for the toilet in the night and the shower was scalding hot.

Positive: Amazing views and very peaceful surroundings Negative: The driveway is really steep - a 4WD would be better or at least a little maintenance to make it easier to ascend as it was very rutted.

An unforgettable, peaceful stay that we can’t wait to revisit again. Positive: My partner and I had an amazing stay at the Waipu Thunder Domes. The accommodation was unique, peaceful, and beautifully set in nature. Waking up to the stunning sunrise and falling asleep under the stars made the experience truly special. A perfect getaway, we would absolutely stay again.

Was soll ich sagen, dass nächste Mal würde ich länger bleiben Positive: Es war wirklich perfekt, der Gastgeber bot mir sogar an mich abzuholen, weil ich als Backpacker zu Fuß unterwegs war und die Waipu Caves besucht hatte. Die Ecke ist aber auch schön zu laufen, sodass ich verzichtete. Angekommen hatte man ein sehr familiäres Gefühl, die Thunderdomes waren wirklich ein Erlebnis mit viel Outdoor Charme. Ich konnte mich von meiner langen Wanderung perfekt erholen, am nächsten Morgen wurde ich nach Waipu mitgenommen. Wünsche der Familie alles Gute! Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland.
